Pink Floyd- Another brick in the wall

Throughout the song "Another Brick In The Wall", Pink Floyd demonstrates a point of view in the kid's perspective. The lyrics signify to me that it is about young men who go off to army and are situated into camps. " All in all its was all just another brick in the wall" is explaining how the men who join the army are exactly the same. They are a body, a person to fight in the war. The army doesn't see the creativity or the uniqueness in each person who joined. All they care is that there is another body to fight in the war. "Teachers leave them alone" could be about the generals being tough on the soldiers and beating them into obedience. It is showing the point of view of the soldier. In the first verse, " Daddy's flown across the ocean. Leaving just a memory. Snapshots in the family album. Daddy what else did you leave for me? Daddy, what'd'ja leave behind for me? All in all it was just a brick in the wall. All in all it was all just bricks in the wall."  I believe is saying how this is about a child and his father went off to war and the father passed away in battle or he was missing in action. All the father is to the child is someone in the scrapbook that the kid wants to know what the father left for him. Through the song the lyrics portrays the idea of a military base and the discipline and toughness the generals do to the soldiers to make them ready for war.

The video conveys almost the same image but it makes it look like its a boarding school. The masks they put on the students makes them look exactly the same that they have no uniqueness to them. When the teacher find this student who wrote poetry he shoots him down saying how ridiculous it is and how bad it is. This conveys how  the students shouldn't be expressing themselves all they are zombies walking and showing no emotion. This is almost like the army because the army whips them into shape until they are obedient and don't disrespect  the generals. In the end all the soldiers show no emotion and are lifeless zombies just like in the video. Walking in a straight line expresses how they cant be unique and that they all are forced to walk in a certain way. When the man is eating and takes something out of his mouth, his wife sees and makes him swallow it. The man does the same thing to the students, beating them and punishing them just like he was punished  by being forced to eat food he didn't want to. Both the video and the lyrics portray the lack of uniqueness of the people and that in a way they are lifeless.
